A trip to Woburn Safari Park
Posted in: The Blog
Yesterday, I went on a trip to Woburn Safari Park (Mostly the Road safari).
On the way there, we stopped to have launch at McDonald’s. I had a BBQ chicken and Bacon Wrap and a Double Cheeseburger. Service was slow (over 10 minutes), food lukewarm and the cheese barely melted.
Did not get any pictures of the food because who takes photos of fast food?
Once at Woburn Safari Park. We went around the Road safari. The first animal that caught my attention was the rhino that on his own.
We then drove past the Antelope.
And past the Ostriches, who took no interest in us.
The Eland, on the other hand, took a lot of interest and stared at our car.
We then went on past the Zebra and buffalo. Neither of who cared about the car. Not surprising has they seen a lot of traffic going through.
After that, we went into the drive through enclosures. Where we saw a Tiger sleeping, Bears (they ran away and hid up a tree by the time we passed them).
We also saw some lionesses in their shelter, before exiting the first enclosures.
Before seeing the Monkeys, we went past some Ankole Cattle and a couple of Wild Ass.
The monkeys were not very active when we visited. I guess that could be the cold weather, however, one did eventually jump up on the car.
After that we parked up and used the toilets before having a quick walk around the zoo (Mainly through the farmyard Friends section),which had Goats and a Pony. Though, the Donkey and sheep were nowhere to be seen. We looped back out and left after that.
Not as many animals as usual out that day, but the weather was colder than most are experienced to. So, I’m guessing some are being kept inside some shelter.
