2024: Week 4

As I started writing this week on Thursday (Unlike last week). It has been published on time (Monday).

Monday:

Stressful day. Anxious at having to wait until the afternoon for the social worker to arrive. When she arrived, she wanted to do a reassessment before stating which places she found for me to move to. A reassessment that took 3 hours as the social wanted to know the exact details of every item.

Later that day was just a walk with staff around the local area and help to clean the bedroom.

Tuesday:

Shopping with staff at 1PM (Lidl) and reaching history about Norfolk.

Wednesday:

Went swimming in Cambridge. Staff waited in the viewing area.

Thursday:

Group trip to Woburn Safari Park. Had drive around the Road Safari and walked around the Foot Safari before going to McDonald’s for lunch (Wrap and Double Cheese Burger with Bacon).

Friday:

Bus trip with staff to Huntington for swimming, went to Sainsbury’s for shopping. Bus took ages on the return as traffic at Hinchingbrooke was at a standstill for 15 minutes.

Researched the history about Norfolk for 1 and 1/2 hours in the evening.

Saturday:

Walk with staff around town for around 2 hours and had help to clean bedroom in the evening.

Sunday:

Long trip out with staff to Audley End House and Gardens. Pleasant house to look around, and the gardens were spacious. My favourite part of the gardens was the waterfall near the organic farm.

The horse demonstration was interesting even though Hamish is a pony (A large pony but still too) who enjoys having his hair stroked (especially behind the ears).

However, there was a rude groundskeeper who forced us out 30 minutes early (claimed the place was closing and claimed something about needing tickets, even though I had a valid ticket and am a member. I do plan to put a complaint in).

That was a long day, left at 11AM. Returned at 5PM.
