8 Years and Counting.

Today marks 8 years since posting my first blog post on this website. A bit of a celebration is in order, as I never expected this website to survive for so-long or have over 100 blog posts.

Throughout the past 8 years, worldofmatthew.com has gone through many changes.

This website originally ran on WordPress (on and off until 2018) before I ultimately moved to the static site generator; HUGO, which the site uses to this very day. There have also been many changes to design, as I was never happy with how the site looked or functioned.

Both fixed in the last redesign. That has given me more motivation to post new content to the website so-far this year. It’s currently the middle of March 2023 and there have been as many posts in a few as would have been posted on an average entire year.

I hope to further my rate of posting new blog posts in the coming month, with many new sections planned and much more for me to write. I hope this year will mark a new chapter for the website and to surpass the reach, this website peaked at in 2016.

To visitors of my website; Thank you for sticking with me for all these years. I hope you enjoy what’s coming shortly, even if it’s different from the content you expect from this website.
