Thank You for the Past 9 Years

Posted in: The Blog

Me running in playground.

Today marks 9 years since this website’s first. Only a year away from the decade mark. Way past the point where most webmasters quit as their websites lose interest from both the webmaster and their visitors.

I’m thankful for the slow but steady growth my website has enjoyed over the past 9 years. There are people in certain niches talking about this website and emailing me with feedback. Nice. Though, there’s a risk of the audience 10x’ing overnight, if I write a popular post, which is not ideal.

Anyway. Back on topic.

The past 9 years have seen many changes to the World of Matthew, many new redesigns and technology changes (originally, a WordPress site, then Dreamweaver CS6, back to WordPress before settling on HUGO in 2018).

The future of worldofmatthew.com is making the website more “personal”. With more posts about my daily life and any project I am working on. The next few weeks will see further changes, including many sections redesigned and new ones added.

I also bought a dedicated computer for more creative content (think videos). A MacBook Pro (18GB RAM, M3 Pro). You will hopefully see videos soon of the adventures I get on (I had to scrap 2 previously planned videos as my vocal quality in those videos were dreadful and I already had to send the laptop for repair once as the screen damaged itself while in storage with nothing on top…)

This will lead to “World of Matthew”, one of the best personal websites on the internet. I don’t mean that in some “narcissistic” way. I literally have found zero other personal websites that are doing what I plan (and very few going as far as “World of Matthew” has gone.

To my website visitors. I thank you for all the online mentions and emails. I hope you enjoyed all my blog posts and hope you will enjoy what’s coming.

Thank You All

Matthew Morgan
